Broken Trees and Broken Records

Langhorne, Pennsylvania

Looking out my window I see broken trees limbs and lots of snow.
I took this picture on February 5th and since then we've had more snow. In fact, in the Philadelphia area, this winter has had the most snow since the 19th century. In contrast, my home state of California has been suffering in one of the worst droughts ever.  Thankfully, I prefer snow to droughts and heat.

  2. We see the same broken branches but by wind not by snow. Great overall picture by the way.

  3. Always sad to see a tree coming down, the climate is very heavy this winter everywhere, too much of all...

  4. Sad for the tree (like Idéfix) but I envy you the snow. I hate the mild winter we are having.
Your tree is broken, mine is alive today...

  5. My dad (82 years old and in Phili for almost 60 years) has never seen anything close....Always sad to loose beautiful trees. Some of the ice photos I've seen have been crazy!

  6. Craziest weather! I was at Trader Joe's last week looking for frozen peas and they were all out. Said they wouldn't have any till Friday and wouldn't have the organic ones for another month. The manager sighted the drought as the reason. And we are seeing our food prices going up. Yikes. Be careful, stay warm, and look up!!

Mais la photo est très belle et montre combien la nature aura toujours raison sur nous, simples mortels.

  13. I'm getting used to low temperatures (but not so low, of course), there's no sign of snow in London yet, it's much more comfortable seeing snow through the pictures!
I'm not sure if the guy on the picture agrees with you. ;-)

  15. Extreme weather all over the country. I wish we could get some of that snow and rain that is falling everywhere else. The weather channel says we might get some this week. We don't need a little, we need a lot.
