Wonderful! I like taking pictures of the backs of people. Maybe because then they don't see me taking their picture?

Really nice, the soft focus adds drama and mystery

What is it about an alley or doorway framing someone that holds such appeal? This is definitely one of those images. Love the sharp contrasts.

A beautiful picture..

What I like here is that, even if we see backs, the people could be as well in front of us in the shade..The couple seems strange, old man youger woman, and what are they doing here so late?and Venice adds the last touch of mystery.
A good beginning to write a story!

Classic! Apart from the lady's trousers, it could come from another age.

Quelle heure était-il dans cette ruelle déserte ? A regarder la photo on entend presque résonner le bruit de la canne sur le dallage du sol...

Love the black and white and slight feel of motion. Nice photo James. Kind of reminds me of a scene from a movie.

You have a way of making this interesting - the light and the shadows shows love and how can I tell? The couple is glowing kind of in the older days you find love everywhere. Thank you for showing such a beautiful photograph!!.. Have a great weekend

Nearly timeless photo, but not much use for diesel in the 19th Century. Wonderfully taken.

Love all the bouncing, bathing, patterns, rhythms, and depth created by the lighting. A talented movie director couldn't have planned a better still or prepared a more compelling image on which to build a story...
