Wonderful picture James and I like a lot b&w in this composition.I think it's an elegant couple.Léia
Wonderful! I like taking pictures of the backs of people. Maybe because then they don't see me taking their picture?
Really nice, the soft focus adds drama and mystery
What is it about an alley or doorway framing someone that holds such appeal? This is definitely one of those images. Love the sharp contrasts.
A beautiful picture..
What I like here is that, even if we see backs, the people could be as well in front of us in the shade..The couple seems strange, old man youger woman, and what are they doing here so late?and Venice adds the last touch of mystery. A good beginning to write a story!
Love it too
The Third Ma
Makes me think of Vienna and the Third Man.
Classic! Apart from the lady's trousers, it could come from another age.
Great atmosphere in this shot!
A photo in my taste. Love it!!
It's not a lonely walk home.Have a good weekend James! ;-)
great atmosphere in this pic! :)
Terrific capture, James! I love the mysterious atmosphere, who are they, where have they been, where are they going, did they have fun???? Delightful!Sylvia
Quelle heure était-il dans cette ruelle déserte ? A regarder la photo on entend presque résonner le bruit de la canne sur le dallage du sol...
This is SO wonderful! Love the composition, the atmosphere, and of course the old couple!:)
Nice! I like the lights and shadows...
I like the atmosphere that pervades here and the stance of the couple!
Love the black and white and slight feel of motion. Nice photo James. Kind of reminds me of a scene from a movie.
You have a way of making this interesting - the light and the shadows shows love and how can I tell? The couple is glowing kind of in the older days you find love everywhere. Thank you for showing such a beautiful photograph!!.. Have a great weekendMy contribution for this weekend do you find here:http://www.starone.dk/wp_2/?page_id=659
Dark figures in a narrow alley at night. very nice composition.
Your images are always atmospherIc and this one is no exception. The night is over and this couple are wandering home.
such tenderness in this gorgeous image.
Nearly timeless photo, but not much use for diesel in the 19th Century. Wonderfully taken.
Puede ser cualquier lugar, en cualquier momento,es universal-Me encantó.Un abrazo.
Love all the bouncing, bathing, patterns, rhythms, and depth created by the lighting. A talented movie director couldn't have planned a better still or prepared a more compelling image on which to build a story...
James, take a bow for this one. I love love love it!VPS Thanks for linking for me. I forgot! :(
Lovely shot. Thanks for your birthday wishes for our Chica!
Love the atmosphere in this shot.
Straight out of the old movies!
