Fire and Fog

Venice, Italy

It's almost 100F today(actually the heat index makes it feel like it's above 100F) so I'm dreaming of cooler times. It's a clash between hot weather and cool thoughts.

I would frequently do that when I lived in Texas!! Anything to feel cooler! Wish I could send you some of our delightful Seattle weather today -- no rain, no gray skies -- that comes back tomorrow, but today is gorgeous and only in the low 70s!! That is a terrific capture though for the day, James!! I love it!

Great mysterious atmosphere in this photo James! The colour is also amazing! ;-)
I miss the warm sunny days, it has been so cold and rainy around here... :(

La lumière des réverbères capturée par l'humidité du brouillard donne cette allure fantasmagorique à la photo. Superbe !

It looks like you could cut the atmosphere with a knife, you can feel the heat through the photo.

This picture is an absolute enchantement!
During summers here, I read many books taking place in cold countries , to try to forget the heat outside.. Not so easy, don't you think?

That is a very dynamic photo. And it's of a place that I think of as being very restrained and orderly.

What a dramatic scene. The lighting and coloring infuses the image with such an emotion richness, it's almost startling!
