Paris, France  (Click the photo to enlarge it)

Every once in awhile I feel like I have Paris almost all to myself. :)

Oh James, as I walked the streets of Paris just a week ago, I thought about you and how you'd love it. Lucky you to find a time when you and your camera could find some quiet time there.

I would dearly love to join your reflection group but i"m rarely so disciplined to think ahead!

Très tôt? Jour de grève? Dimanche matin?..C'est rare de voir Paris si vide, surtout dans ce quartier-là! Mais ça fait du bien!

PS: You're right about Russians. That's why we have the tallest orthodox cathedral of the world outside from Russia.

Here you see the working of a big official building against a person. I great you dwarf.Great shot James and very unusual with just one person in the street.

James, your timing is perfect in your impressive photo of this official building. The cyclist puts it all into perspective. You must go walking early in the morning to be so alone. Love that it is B&W. Beautifully presented. Thanks.

Wonderful strong architectural perspective. Great in black & white.

Another amazing black and white composition! That lone bicycler juxtaposed against all those repeating but static elements — the white bars on the street, the brick pattern on the street, the windows of the imposing structure in the background, creates a fascinating dynamic.

If you said this photo was taken in 1940, I would have believed it. It's awesome James!

Hey James! Do you remember where you got this template and what the name of it is?

I would love to be on a photo shoot in Paris with you... you must have been an early riser to catch this busy location with your solo subject!

I will be back to reflections this week. I have been posting reflections most every Friday but have been traveling and knew I could not comment... see you on Friday!

Bises,
Genie

Fantastic shot, and what a feeling. I have usually been there in the dead of winter or late fall or barely spring. It can be a delight to have the city mostly to yourself. . . . You made the most of a quiet moment.
