Musical Gypsies

Paris, France (Centre Georges Pompidou)

Their music was loud hypnotic droning. Their faces and clothing were old and interesting. The man seemed to stare right passed my eyes and into my soul and then he smiled.

Rue Budé

Île Saint-Louis Paris, France

~~~Some yelling, the sound of a slapped face, a slammed door and the echoing clack of heels on the wet ground. The music started playing as the credits rolled. ~~~~Fin
Not really but since some of my photos have been looking like movie scences I thought I would set the mood. :)
This is my post for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend in Black and White.
Philadelphia Stranger in the Night
(Old City) Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-
I don't know where the shadowy figure was going but I'm glad he didn't turn around when I was taking his picture.
This is my entry for The Weekend in Black and White.
You can see the color version on Monday at my Newtown blog.
Reflections on a Paris Bridge
Flipped Version
Original version
I was standing a pedestrian bridge above the Les Halles shopping center in Paris when I saw this cool reflection of St. Eustache church. I was just about to take the shot when this guy walked into the frame. I took it anyway.
I'm adding this to Weekend Reflections and Sunday Bridges.
Relaxing in the Jardin des Tuileries
Paris France
I love walking around the Tuileries Garden in Paris. It's a great place for people of all ages. I thought of Malyss when I saw the bench because she has a blog devoted to benches. Then a while back I saw a similar pair of eyes in a Tuileries photo by Genie. Genie's post is an interesting contrast to mine because there are no people in her photo.
This is my post for Watery Wednesday.
Got a Light Monsieur?
This photo was taken on Pont Alexandre III in Paris.
Doesn't it kind of look like this guy's torch is lighting the Eiffel Tower?
Out of the Tunnel and into the Corridor
We can go straight to Paris from New York City thanks to blogger and a little imagination.
This corridor is on Rue Vaugirard very close to the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris' 6ème.
Since we're here I'll post more pictures of Paris this week.
Here's to a wonderful 2011!
