Quai de Seine à Paris

Paris, France

It's almost Vacation time.
I'm not going to Paris this year, I'll be going to some new places instead.

This seems a still from an old foreign film or documentary. It seems so significant. Presented in such a way, I can't help but project so many thoughts and stories onto that solitary figure...

It must be 30 years since I walked along the Seine, I always seem to go closer to the Med, and I have no photos of the city - strange.

Beautiful picture of Paris. Because you see no signs of modern life you could think that the camera of Eugene Adget suddenly became better. Nice one James.

Beautiful picture, there's a vintage touch in this shot!
We all have our favourites places, but we need to explore new destinations.
Hope you have a wonderful time James. :)

Hey James, so if not Paris this time, where are you off to ??? Can't wait to see what you'll be bringing back. Love the atmosphere here. It's funny, no matter how many photos of Paris I see, I never get tired of seeing more. Especially fine ones like this.

I was thinking how, even if you took this photo on a warm day . . . how cold it looks.

Then I read the caption and my attitude to the picture changed. It was suddenly of potential, of adventure. I hope you go to some great places this coming year. Planning is an exciting time.

Gorgeous shot... Are sure Paris is out for this year? I don't seem to be able to get enough of that City of Lights! And this photo just makes me want to hop a plane!

The aging effect suggests that here are layers of time! One solitary figure wanders by the river yet at another level there are a number of people on the bridge! Beautiful!
