Parisien Passage Reflections

Paris, France (Passage Beaujolais) This passage links rue de Richelieu to rue de Montpensier

Walk through this passage, make a quick right then walk a few hundred feet and voila on the left side is the apartment where Vicki and I stay while we are in Paris. I walk through this passage to my favorite patisserie every morning while we're here except for Sundays when the passage gates open late.
When I first saw this photo I was a little disappointed  that the name of the restaurant was obscured by the bright light but when I looked closer I noticed that the restaurant's name starts above it's door and is completed in the reflection on the left side. It's named "Alfred"

  6. Hello, JAMES.

The combination of of the stone road and old shop.

    They seem to express quietness.
The brightness of the wall lets me feel the history.

    Have a good weekend.
    Thank you.

  7. One of those subjects that would also be great in a high grain 35mm monochrome, maybe a 'soft' old 1950s lens with a little bit of flare.

  17. Must, must, must visit Paris someday. Redeeming to get the full name of Alfred's-just have to be creative about it. I love the coolness of the foreground contrasted with the warm lit tones in the back.

  19. Surprising shot, James... The blue light seems to come from behind you but your shadow doesn't appear of the display... Intriguing ! It is a nice set of multiple reflections ; I like the Eiffel tower shadow inside the shop.
