I absolutely adore this image. The choice of black and white is perfect. It really enhances all the gorgeous typography. Then, those two buddies, quietly sharing a coffee together. Timeless, classic, so many great elements. The strong contrast of rich blacks and all the dancing whites, the subtle deep reflections, the No Smoking sign next to the guy smoking. One could go on and on, and I have! Cildemer said it better than me, it really is a wonderful composition!

It's winter, the guys have warm clothes, but they share a moment outside, probably to be allowed to smoke..The B&W puts the scenery out of time, it could be yesterday, or ten years ago..

I like it. The black and white give it a more doisneau effect. Beautiful

A classic image that is so inviting... Un café crème, s'il vous plaît.

James, what a perfect b/w shot of a scene so recognizably Paris and it could be any of about 10 decades!
