Behind the Walls of Hohensalzburg Castle

Construction of this huge fortress in Salzburg Austria began nearly a thousand years ago.

I was just able to get a quick shot off before a large crowd came around the corner.

Three Tractors

I took the bottom picture last winter and the other two a few weeks ago.

A Window without a View

You can see the sunlight but there is no escape. Actually one man escaped and was never recaptured. This picture shows some of the ruins at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. It was the world's first penitentiary. It held prisoners from the 1820's to the 1970's and now it's open to the public.

Provence? No it's Bucks County

Peace Valley Lavender Farm. Soon there will be a sea of purple and the scent of lavender in the air.

Three Graves and an old Wall

I'm pretty sure this cemetery dates back to the 1700's. I saw several graves of revolutionary war veterans.
