Tunnel Vision

I like the light patterns on the wall. I'm not a %100 sure but I think they are reflections.
Follow me through the tunnel to 2011!

I took this shot it Jersey City. Do you see the twins with the cell phones at the end of the tunnel? It's actually just one guy but doubled him for fun. :)

Happy New Year!

Postcards From New York City

For some reason I never send postcards but this is two versions of a photo of New York City that I took last night. A sort of post trip, blog-double-postcard?
Other than a little cold weather, large crowds and a bomb scare NYC was great! It was the first time we went there during the Christmas season.
Now it's time to sleep. See you tomorrow!

Shop until Your Legs Fall Off?

I was bored while waiting for a flight at the Brussels airport. I wish I would have tried a few more shots or at least waited a second or two before I took this one. The neon sign reflected on the floor is timely but the poor man's legs are cut off. Maybe he's in the process of spending an arm and a leg? :) Personally I'm not much of a shopper but I hear there are quite a few out there.

Have a great weekend and I hope you enjoy Weekend Reflections.

Down and Out in Paris

For me Paris is a fun and wonderful city but that's not the case for everyone. This couple was trying to warm themselves by the steam coming up from the Metro across the street from the Louvre. It might have seemed more cozy and comfortable if it wasn't raining. I hope they found a place to stay before the really cold weather came.

Factory of the Dead

During my recent trip to Paris I was fortunate enough to meet and spend the day taking pictures and talking with my photo blogging friend Owen. Owen as I mentioned before is from Pennsylvania but now lives near Paris. He also happens to have a really cool blog. I took this ominous shot in Père Lachaise cemetery. It reminds me of an old factory but Owen informed me that this is the crematorium, hence my title. The rain had just started when I took this picture and I remember thinking that dark clouds just might enhance the dramatic look of the building.

Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) at Night

This beautiful wooden bridge in Lucerne Switzerland was built in the 14Th century. The church on the right is the 17Th century Jesuit Church.
This is my post for Weekend Reflections and Sunday Bridges.

My previous photo was a hand held shot but this one took 10 seconds. Night time and long exposures are very new to me so If anyone has advice or tips I'm all ears.

Thanks and have a great weekend!.

Playing in a Paris Fountain

This fountain is not far from where we stay. I've walked by it several times on several trips but this time the red and blue lights caught my attention. Paris is magical at night.

Le Promeneur Solitaire

EExcept for a an ocasional nun I always seem to have the whole area behind St-Gervais-et-St-Protais Church to myself. This day was no exception until this fancy guy strolled by. It's called Rue Des Barres and there is a wonderful half-timbered building on the corner.
