Bruges Reflections

I was lucky to get this shot because we were literally running to catch the train back to Brussels. It was at the end of a cloudy day in Bruges Belgium and the sun decided to pop out just before it set. I guess it's because of the lighting but this reminds me of a painting.

This is my Weekend Reflections entry.

How right you are! What an eye- catching scene with the sky, lake and trees and the bridge and spire in the background! Simply gorgeous.

Fabulous, and that would make a wonderful painting.

I am glad you were able to stop long enough for this shot! It does look like a painting...scrumptious lighting and composition!

Completely a painting! It's gorgeous. I was in Bruges two years ago - neat place.

The landscape itself, the autumn colors, the subtil light, the wonderful reflection, all together they give the feeling of a painting from the past.

What a fantastic capture, James! It's one of those Impressionist paintings and the colors are breathtaking! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks as always for the weekend fun!

Beautiful, captivating autumn wrapped in a reflection... I agree with you in that it does look like an oil painting. Great "running" shot!

Yes, it does look like a painting. The colors are better than on a canvas though.

A fine painting! Did I tell you, James, that my grandmother and mother lived in Bruges for many years? During the war up to past my date of birth (in Brussels).

So very beautiful. It's ironic that you took the photo running because it has such a feeling of peace.
