That looks like a charming house. Beautiful photograph of it.
What a terrific capture, James! I do love those old houses. I wouldn't be surprised if the very small one was indeed a root cellar! Enjoy your weekend!Sylvia
Very nice. Hmmm root cellar? Does one of those have windows? But who am I do know. I would think it would be below the ground. Maybe it's the servants quarters. Anyway, great photo :) Have a great weekend :)
Great photo of an interesting building...
black and white sure takes it back to an earlier time. I love the clean lines of it. Your header is a walk back through time as well.
Lovely! It looks huge.
Perhaps in Luxembourg someone would say that's a brand new one! :)God bless you!Cezar
You have such an eclectic mix of photos. Thank you so much for hosting the Weekend Reflections. I never dreamed I would enjoy participating so much. It is always nice when a meme host stops by for a visit!JanGDP
You're right ! this is an interesting house !
It is interesting. I'd love to know the history behind it!
How perfect with that curved road leading the eye from the right foreground back into the background all balanced by the dark tree on the left.Maybe it was a rood cellar but it would make a great photography/art studio! I'm glad these old houses are kept up. It would be such a shame to let developers get hold of them and the land.
Simply beautiful James, especially in black and white like that. Pennsylvania is just chock full of beautiful old places, and unbelievably scenic landscapes... Can attest to that after spending the last week out exploring back roads... all sorts of treasures to be discovered out there !
It does not seem so old! someone is taking care of this house with love. Seeing your picture, it's easy to understand why..I like the way the path is driving our eyes to the house..
I am always curious about root cellars and spring houses. I would like to learn how to identify them for certain.
Wonderful photo. I would so love to explore this house.
Wonderful picturs, thanks for sharing.
The course of the arc seems to give glory to the view. The atmosphere is settled down. .
