It just goes to show you, it's more about the angle and the shot sometimes. This is a great B&W photo!
Well your eye is much b better than me cuz I think this is a beautiful shot all the way around. Love it :)
Looks wonderful James.
What did the camera get wrong? I love this!!! (ps Are you often in Paris?)
I like this picture because it shows how tall and majestuous the place is..The picture puts the place back to its right scale. [And I remember having pictured the benches in this yard! :)]
Stunning shot, very professional!I mean, it would be wonderful in a frame, in a "big size" printing!I like the way you see the scenery outside the window. This Museum is really massive, I need to come back!HugsLéia
I find this photo fascinating. Something I would expect to see in a magazine or book. It is really neat. Agree with Cezar and Leia - a really large print of this would be stunning on a wall.
YOU might think you goofed the picture up, but as the comments are telling you....it turned out great...sometimes as photographers we are our own worst critics...and the "bad" pictures just might be some of our finest....
I agree, it's Murphy's Law...the more you analyze a shot the less likely it will be as unique as this one turned out to be! The perspective, angle and black and white is SO good! I really like this! I am sure it would stand apart from other photos of this same place down at ground level.
What a spectacular shot James! The composition is fantastic, the setting magnificent. The figures really add to the scale and sense of spaciousness. And just the right amount of vignetting. I love it!
You got a photo when there were not many people around. You got quite a bit in one shot.
I like this picture, thanks for sharing. Best regards from Germany.
I want to walk there, too. The diffusion of people is a fascinating view.
James, it's s stunning photo. I think you've passed the amateur category now :) I'm also thrilled to see that the temporary building hogging this wonderful courtyard is now gone.
You covered a lot in one photo. It's awesome.
I'm sorry that I missed this post, it must have been while I was under the weather. It's a wonderful image and the people do look very small.☼ Sunny
That is the "Cour Carrée du Louvre" It is a beautiful place to see in the evening, when it is illuminate. The town rumor all around seems so far away... A strange place, that seems out of the world.I never saw it this way, though, thanks for this beautiful sharing...
OMG! This is really cool. Beautiful landscape and a great vantage point
I don't see anything wrong at all. And I think it's a fantastic view of the square!
