La Silhouette d'une Libellule

The sun was shining toward my camera through the tree branches so I suppose this would be considered a Contre-jour photo. The dragonfly was up in the tree but thankfully I had my telephoto lens.

  9. Thank goodness you had your telephoto with you. This is THE most unique dragonfly, or insect shot for that matter, I've ever seen. It is so artistic and beautiful. The framing created by the branches and the large negative whitespace behind the branch and dragonfly is superb!
