La Silhouette d'une Libellule

The sun was shining toward my camera through the tree branches so I suppose this would be considered a Contre-jour photo. The dragonfly was up in the tree but thankfully I had my telephoto lens.

A Simple Timeless Place

Sometimes I feel like I'm looking through a window into the past when I walk around this old farm. Was this the site of a revolutionary war or civil war battle? I doubt it, but I bet this barn and the farmhouse next to it where around during the civil war and maybe even before.

This is the other side of the "Home of the Vultures".

Bird Watching People

Or should the title be "people watching bird"? Whatever it is this seagull sure seemed to enjoy watching people walk by. I took this on the Newport Beach Pier when we went "home" for a visit last January.

St. Patrick's Reflection

This is a reflection of St. Patrick's Church in the window of a fancy store on the corner of 50TH and 5TH in New York City. You can see one of the window dividers in the top left corner. There are also a few visible lights from inside the store. I guess it's kind of like two reflections in one with the church and buildings at the top then you scroll down to see the nyc street view.

Taking it Slow in Paris

When I go back to Paris I'll try to get a better shot of this place but for now here's a giant snail and it's reflection. I think the little sign that says 1832 stands for the year this restaurant opened for business. That's a lot of escargot!

Home of the Vultures

The farmers may not use these old buildings any more but nature still has use for them and so do I. There's a tree growing through the roof of the smaller building, turkey vultures nest in the old barn and it's a great place for me to practice photography.

Homeward Bound

I bought a lens last winter and just as left the camera store this lonely looking old man caught my eye.
