The last one is a symbol of a disappearing world.. Even the first one is showing a kind of "end mood", the door is hanging, .. Only the middle one is full of work ,and therefore, hope. The three pictures are beautyful!
Hello dear James! How's your back, I hope you are feeling better these days. The weather is better here and I took back my daily walkings around my place.Today I've walked by some adorable farms.I'm with such a good mood ! I love the field and the landscape , to be in contact with animals and the nature.Your pictures are so wonderful.I love the idea of b&w but I'm enchanted by the second photo,it's fabulous and I can feel the green there. Great work! hugs Léia
The two black and whites are so classic, a wistful look back to another era. The middle shot is so alive, you can feel the energy in the vivid color! Terrific captures as always, James! Enjoy your week!
The light in the first one is so soft and luminous. Love the variety of greens in the second. I miss that. The last puts in high relief the stark contrast of the 4 seasons in that part of the world. Lovely selections and placement for a lovely series. I'd hang all 3 just like that in any room in my house!
All of these have a wonderful open feel about them. The last a kind of melancholy. I wonder if the middle photo would seem so full of life if rendered in black and white?
Tell me, why black and white until October? Have I asked this before?
Hi. Just stumbled on to your site. The photos are wonderfully nostalgic, I guess that makes me 'an old timer'. I grew up on 35mm, and b/w was what I liked to shoot. I love color, but b/w always seemed to take a moment and make it historical....larger than the snap of the shutter, bigger than that particular day. Nice work..........

Are the two black and whites places not being worked any longer? It looks like the color photo is a place that is being worked.

The color shows much hope and anticipation of a good crop this year. The black and whites are perfectly stunning! Beautiful work, James!
Oh I love the winter monochrome shot. Beautiful pictures
I especially like the last photo. I remember when my uncle would hay, and we could ride on the big hay wagon on top of the bales of hay.
Nice selection. I can't figure out what appears to be coming out of the first tractor under the light.

Love that last picture...!
That last photo looks like it's from a really old book. Very very nice.

You have reminded me of how much I enjoyed B&W back in the day.
All three of them are excellent. The bottom one is my favorite!
Monochrome gives me a feeling of desolation.
The story seems to be described.
Adorei suas fotos! Virei mais vezes aqui...
Beijos.
These are beautiful scenes, but the last one has a definite vintage feel to it. Love it!
