Schloss Mirabell Reflections

This is the reflection of The Mirabell Palace in Salzburg Austria. The reflection is in a pool of water with a Pegasus statue in the Mirabell Gardens. It's really a beautiful place and I was fortunate to stay in a hotel just a few hundred feet away. The curve of the pool can be seen in the bottom corners.

  1. I love unusual pictures, this looks like a painting. Am I also seeing coins in the fountain? You have a great eye, James.

  6. The picture is like a modern painting, its shows the real world without being real, just different enough to become strange.. I love it!

  7. I would never have guessed this was a reflection. I thought it was a blurry picture through a wet lens.

  17. OK, I had to turn my laptop upside down but now I see it as a reflection. As several pointed out it looks like a watercolor, because in a way, it is.

  21. Very beautiful!! Looks like a collage...but then again...it is...just a natural one! Good eye. I love reflections and am always trying to capture them...funny how so many people just do 'see' them...it's nice that you do and that you share them with people so that they can start seeing the world in a different way. Bravo! (again!)

  28. Have you thought of cropping out the bottom bit so you're left with just the watercolour effect? I think it would look lovely mounted and framed. ;)
