Glorious Aura

I was on the Charles Bridge in Prague late in the day and the sun was shinning directly into my camera from this angle. I thought it would be impossible to get a good photo of the statues on this side of the bridge. So I improvised by using the statues to block the sun thus making the sun my ally.

  4. Effective, especially with the washed out colours in the sky which just lift it above monochrome; well spotted.

  7. Fantastic. You know, depending on one's mood it can be viewed as heavenly or armageddonish. (I know not even a word).

I really like photos that can be translated in many ways.

  8. Way to go! The sky has a nice glow to it, and the contrast of the shadows helps to set it off.

  9. Saints are wrapped in rings of the light, and they are divine.

It is the view which is good for Christmas.
