Very lovely atmosphere in it´s dark way. In black and white they didn´t look like made out of wood at first. I was thinking stone first.
Wow...that's a great photo. :) These are one of my favorite when they are done in this monochrome :)
I like this photo - it's very moody.
And what a great work you did!
Very impressive!Beautiful b & w !Léia
So very creepy! I do love the shadows - especially in the folds of the robe.
Something very moody with so much shadow on the face of the main statue, and the other with the face half turned away but in the light; nice shot.
It's cool!Great photo.
Beautiful James!! And the mood is awesome!Anna
Marvelous perspective and lighting in this week's photograph. A work of art itself ;--)Hugs and blessings,
Beautiful shot and so well done. The sculpture is very well suited to monochrome.
I think that is a sinister figure with a very vulnerable and innocent boy so close to those big hands...
It looks as though she is expecting something....so glad to have met you- and I will be back to further explore your journal later....
Something is lurking in that dark corner...
A black and white rich in charm! Beautiful shot, the scene is very impressive!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am very impressed by your photos. I like the black and white photos.
You have created a great moody atmosphere with this photo. Thanks for visiting my blog.
You are so brave! I thought they complain if people shoot at museums :) Nice angle! Thanks for visiting my Mom's site /Nadine, Bulgaria/ - she is still learning how to use the net translator and is new to blogging - hope soon she will be able to respond herself.
Nice shot! Lots of different emotions arise.
Amazing what a lot of lighting and an absence of color will do to a photograph. This one is just fabulous!
Very nice, I also like the smaller figure off to the side.
Beatiful! She looks so calm. Great!/christina
it is beautiful..
nice angle and i like the lighting
Nice shot .. contrast is a bit dark but I suspect its due to sneaking a photo in a museum which does not encourage photography
The monochrome changes the look of the wood, giving the sculptures an almost metallic look! Love the play of the shadows.Janice.
I think the face is very sinister looking, although the image is perfect.
Great composition with the two statues and the lighting...
Very nice black and white image!
My heart feels at ease very much when I watch this work.Thank you.
