Alien Invasion

Some of you wanted to know what was on the other side of yesterday's door. Well here he is.
Actually this is some of the things that we saw at the "Met," including a giant metal rooftop work of art. The bottom picture is my playfully edited version of the very tall thing in the top picture. (It must have been over 15 feet tall)
I'm sorry to say that I don't know what any of these works are called or where they are from.
Which gives me a good excuse to go back and find out.

  1. wow James, very creative and beautiful shots!
I loved the idea for the title and all pictures are outstanding my friend! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

May I take some ideas from you! Please? :)
    Great work!

  2. where have they landed? nice shots.

  3. Love the top one, it looks like the character they have for some of the 'hot pepperoni' sausage snacks that you can buy.

  4. Well, I think you were very brave to go through the door. And very brave to photograph the aliens you found there!

  5. Yeah, James, let us know where these guys have landed and when! Great shots!

    Have a great day!

  6. Thank you for sharing. I love the third one. They are all awesome. You have a real knack for this :)

  7. Hi James,

Nice pieces of art. Looks African to me. The last picture is really weird. I really wonder what it's supposed to be. A man with a banana in his mouth?

    Very interesting indeed.

    Best regards

  8. hi James! thanks for the word u said about my blog and for the choice to follow it. Perhaps u could go to see my other blog at and follow this too!! thanks and congratulations for your great sites! P.S. ...sorry for my english...

  9. Here via authorblog. These are interesting photos and equally interesting pices of art.

  10. Tha "aliens" seem to come from South Pacific, or from Papouasia-New-guinea;
i like the picture from the roof, with this long...branch?..arm? ..or whatever it is!That's the view that I like!

  11. Very cool! Congrats on the Post of the Day Award!

  12. Mind boggling collection you had there. I love it.

  13. Now you know what the installation was called!! Maelstrom by Roxy the shots and I really like those new Oceanographic galleries at the Met too - I always go in to see that amazing stuff from Papua New Guinea
