It would be hard to leave the beach behind. It's better to live somewhere with nasty weather (pick any mid-western state) and then it can only get better when you move. Excellent photo!
What a pleasant looking location. I always think of crowded beaches when I think of California coast, but this looks wonderful - so quiet and peaceful!
Great picture! So much in it - love the running silhouettes - the palms at the distance - the seabirds - the tire tracks bring the civilization invasion in the scene :)
My first reaction was: ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....this scene reminds me of HOME! And this stirs up memory and I feel homesick. Love the life living close to the shore.
So many birds! The Philippines has lots of beaches, but I've never gone to one with as many birds as this. Wonderful!
And as an aside, Long Beach is where my grandmother and parents stayed for many years before I was born. Is it anywhere near USC? That's where my parents got their graduate degrees. I can't ask any of them now because they've all passed away.
That's a great beach. I've never been to the west coast. We will be headed to Ocean City, NJ for a couple days soon to visit with my brother and his family who are coming in from Austin.
Hi, nice to meet you! Thank for your visit and your nice comment on my blog It can be interesting to compare the two kinds of shores, but I must say that I prefer yours! I will come back and take time to explore your blogs, I was very attracted by some of your pictures ( and also liked your quote: I came, I saw, I photographed):-)) Have a nice day!
Now THIS is a familiar sight!!! Molly and I visit the 'cliffs area' beyond Golden West known as Doggie Beach often with a similar view, but I don't usually bring my camera along ;--) Hugs and blessings,

Hi James, don't you just love and miss it? Hope you can come back and visit, a lot of activities going on in OC now.
I am sure you missed this sight. I like beaches, don't swim in them, but I love to people watch and walk and beach comb.
Happy Wednesday.
Must be fun to jog amongst the birds. ;-)
You could never tire of that jogging route! Your shot has such lovely lighting in it, too.
Great shot! I like the spray near the trees and the kite.
