It would be hard to leave the beach behind. It's better to live somewhere with nasty weather (pick any mid-western state) and then it can only get better when you move. Excellent photo!
Hi James,I love this picture. And such nice effects with the birds. Perfect!Best regardsAsta
Beautiful. You can't go wrong with any beach shot. :)
Hi James, don't you just love and miss it? Hope you can come back and visit, a lot of activities going on in OC now.
I am sure you missed this sight. I like beaches, don't swim in them, but I love to people watch and walk and beach comb. Happy Wednesday.
Must be fun to jog amongst the birds. ;-)
You could never tire of that jogging route! Your shot has such lovely lighting in it, too.
Great shot! I like the spray near the trees and the kite.
What a pleasant looking location. I always think of crowded beaches when I think of California coast, but this looks wonderful - so quiet and peaceful!
That's an awesome beach, love the serenity that goes with it. Great shot James!
Great location. Great photo.Sydney - City and Suburbs
Great picture! So much in it - love the running silhouettes - the palms at the distance - the seabirds - the tire tracks bring the civilization invasion in the scene :)
the famous beach!
My first reaction was: ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....this scene reminds me of HOME! And this stirs up memory and I feel homesick. Love the life living close to the shore.I love those birds! How come I did not any darlings here? lol
Lovely~ Looks like a great place for some kite flying too :)
I can feel myself leaning into your image, wanting to be there.
Great photo of a very beautiful scene.
Great composition in this photo. One just wants to climb in the picture and walk along the beach. You would not believe the word verification I just had: "shagings"
That is such a soothing scene! We stopped at Huntington once for lunch..looking for a ferry to Catalina Island...
Oh, how nice it would be to have a beach to enjoy when jogging.
Bonjour James!hummmmm CALIFORNIA !!!! Everything good there! ;)Wonderful shot!Léia
So many birds! The Philippines has lots of beaches, but I've never gone to one with as many birds as this. Wonderful! And as an aside, Long Beach is where my grandmother and parents stayed for many years before I was born. Is it anywhere near USC? That's where my parents got their graduate degrees. I can't ask any of them now because they've all passed away.
Hi James, what a splendid photograph, love it!
That's a great beach. I've never been to the west coast. We will be headed to Ocean City, NJ for a couple days soon to visit with my brother and his family who are coming in from Austin. My ABC Wed
A wonderful beach with the breakers creating all that spume in the distance.
Fantastic scene & I like all the birds in flight... an added bonus!Have a wonderful WW!
Hi, nice to meet you! Thank for your visit and your nice comment on my blogIt can be interesting to compare the two kinds of shores, but I must say that I prefer yours!I will come back and take time to explore your blogs, I was very attracted by some of your pictures ( and also liked your quote: I came, I saw, I photographed):-))Have a nice day!
Beautiful scene, my favorite. Perfect!Regina
I spent lots of great summer days in that area as a tweenager...thanks for the memories you jogged loose with this wonderful photograph1
Now THIS is a familiar sight!!! Molly and I visit the 'cliffs area' beyond Golden West known as Doggie Beach often with a similar view, but I don't usually bring my camera along ;--)Hugs and blessings,
Beautiful! Lovely depth and light and the jogger adds the little something to a excellent shot.
Great beach shot and looks familiar like I have seen it in several movies.
There is a lot of good things going on in this picture. I would like to be the kite man there.
