Ruby Red at Washington's Crossing

I saw these ruby red cars racing across the Delaware river on this very narrow bridge (I had to do some really quick clicking). This is pretty much the same spot where general George Washington and others struggled across the icy waters in boats over 230 years ago to fight the British in Trenton. Imagine what Washington would think if he saw these strange red machines coming from the direction of his red clad enemy.

  13. Great imagery literally and figuratively! If you want a different perspective on what Geo might have thought - read (or listen to on CD), the Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing...very thought provoking!

  14. What a wonderful shot. The cars look like they were made for the bridge. I can almost here the humming as their treads hit the roadbed.
