ABC Wednesday "O" is for Opera

"O" is also for Orchestra pit, Obi and any other O words the clever viewers can find in the pictures. These aren't the best photos but they make for a nice "O" post. I took them at the Opéra Bastille in Paris the Opera was Puccini's Madame Butterfly.

  1. Opera is a great choice for the letter O, and the other words too. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Most appreciated.

  4. I had to stop and think for a moment about the obi. First shot draped around an arm for the bow...had to remember that setting of the opera was in Japan!

  8. Thanks to everyone for the comments.
Carol saw the Oboe in the top photo, good eye!
Léia: we were sitting pretty close so I just went up to the Orchestra pit and snapped the picture. after the performance of course.

The opera was in Italian with French subtitles but I enjoyed it very much. I really want to go to the old Paris opera house the Garnier maybe to see Faust.

  9. You post brought back my memory many years ago watching Bizet's Carmen at Opéra Bastille. The opera house was just open not too long ago at the time. Thanks for sharing.
